Ammoudia - a village with tradition

Ammoudia is a lovely village on the Epirus. Ammoudia is lovely and full of Greek originality, situated on the West coast of the Mainland –it is opposite to the islands of Paxos and Corfu. Ammoudia is located at the fountain of the river Acheron, which is navigable as the only River in Greece known from mythology.

After a short walk of about one hundred meters you reach the bright, soft sandy beach. There are an inviting cocktail bar and a boat rental directly in the Bay.

In the small taverns that lined up at the port, 200 metres away, Greek, regional and international delicacies, as well as specialties from the sea are served - daily fresh, the fish are caught by the fishermen of the village.

The preserved original village has also to offer some supermarkets, souvenir shops, ice cream parlors and bakeries.
